ST. CATHARINES PUBLIC LIBRARY Requires a BUILDING SUPERINTENDENT The Building Superintendent is a member of the Management Team. Under the direction of the Business and Facilities Administrator this position is responsible for the activities of the Maintenance Department including the following: -co-ordinating and supervising the cleaning of all facilities; -monitoring the performance of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and life safety system; -overseeing in-house and contractor preventative maintenance activities; -assisting with the preparation of service contracts and coordinating maintenance and service schedules; -ensuring that 24/7 emergency and security protocols are in place and able to respond to emergencies during business and non-business hours; -preparing annual and capital budget estimates as directed and monitoring expenditure of approved funds; -supervising staff.
